Volunteer Information
Volunteering is a wonderful way to support CTES. There will be a lot of exciting events going on at CTES and we will be using a new website called www.nListHelp.com to coordinate our volunteers for both school-wide and classroom events.
NOTES: All volunteers are required to submit a Volunteer Form to the CTES office 48 hours prior to volunteering in the school, even for Mystery Reader.
If you are tired of long sign-up e-mail chains and
back-and-forth paperwork that often accompanies planning school events,
then you will love nListHelp.
This website is already being used at many schools in our area including
Short Pump Middle, and
We will be launching new nListHelp sites, such as Classroom, Library, Copy Crew, etc., all year long. You will need to join each nListHelp that you are interested in. Once you join a specific nListHelp site, you will receive Bulletins (via e-mail) from that site’s Volunteer Coordinators letting you know when new signup opportunities are posted. This will signal you to log on to the site and sign up for exactly where and when you would like to volunteer. You will see what opportunities are available, what timeslots, who else is volunteering – the entire volunteer schedule is real-time and online! Sign up with the click of a mouse! Change your mind? Click the “x” beside your name to cancel!
To get started with nListHelp, please join our Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities nListHelp Site. This is our catch-all sign-up for volunteer opportunities at CTES and we hope EVERYONE will join this nListHelp site. You will receive occasional emails about short term, one-off volunteering opportunities or one-time requests for supply donations at CTES.

All school volunteers
must complete this HCPS form before volunteering in the school. Please
be sure that CTES has your current 2011-2012 form.

Please read over the
following safety procedures for you to follow during your visit at CTES.
1.) Please sign IN
and OUT for each visit. CTES must account for every person in the
building at all times. In the case of an emergency, CTES staff checks
the sign-in sheet to see who is in our building.
2.) In a safety drill
or actual safety event, follow the supervisor with who you are working
with. This can be a teacher, an administrator or any other staff member.
Fire drills: you will be expected to exit the building along with the
students. Lockdown: if you are in the building, you will be expected to
stay in the building. If you are outside of the building you cannot
enter until the lockdown is lifted.

video link on safety is also provided:
